Description
In the north-eastern part of the Brandstadl gravel pit, a path leads around a U-shaped body of water. There you can see Great Crested Grebe, Eurasian Coot , Common Kingfisher, Great Reed Warbler, Reed Warbler and Reed Bunting. A little further south, Little Ringed Plover breeds on the bare gravel areas. Further west, there is an artificial breeding wall for Sand Martin. The path leading there continues through the alluvial forest, where you can observe some typical birds such as Black Woodpecker and Golden Oriole.

Access
The Brandstadl gravel pit is a one-kilometer walk from Hallbergmoos train station, where S-Bahn line 1 stops every 20 minutes. You can also park at the train station. Click on the P in the map for directions. Within the area, there are mainly small footpaths.
