Two small wetlands of 9 hectares with 14 ponds of different sizes. The different habitats attract a range of birds.
Biotop Unterm Nippchen and Karl-Rembser-Biotop are about 9 hectares in total. There are currently 14 ponds of different sizes (water surface approx. 100-1,800 m²). Among the birds you can encounter in the area are Eurasian Moorhen, Green Sandpiper, Common Kingfisher, Little Ringed Plover, Grey Wagtail and Wood Sandpiper.
In Niederselters, leave Dauborner Straße in the direction of the Niederselters Kläranlage (sewage treatment plant). There are a few parking spaces immediately after the turn. From here it is about a 10-minute walk to the biotopes.
