Description

Abtskücher Teich is a lake with surrounding bushes. The pond and stream provide a good environment for various waterfowl and water-loving birds. You can see Common Kingfisher, Great Cormorant, Grey Heron, Mute Swan, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Mallard and Eurasian Coot. Also Nutrias live here. In the surrounding fields, you can also see Firecrest, Goldcrest, House Sparrow, Eurasian Goshawk and Common Buzzard.

Access

The Abtskücher Teich is located 3 km west of the town of Velbert. Parking lots are nearby. Press P on the map for directions to a parking. There is a footpath around the pond (about 1 km).
