The reserve is composed of several former gravel pits and good for birding with many bird hides.
Réserve de Cambounet-sur-le-Sor consists of several former gravel pits that attract plenty of waterbirds. There is also a Grey Heron colony. Nice birds you can see here are Black Kite, Common Snipe, Common Kingfisher, Common Teal and Black-crowned Night Heron.
