Description
The plateau is an agricultural area having kept a very authentic character and pastoral areas offering various environments. The site is best known for observing a colony of Rock Sparrow. Also Wood Lark, Eurasian Skylark, European Stonechat, Tawny Pipit and Corn Bunting roam the various habitats. The Red-backed Shrike nests in the groves and hedges. Eurasian Hoopoe, Eurasian Wryneck and Eurasian Scops Owl are rare but present. The site is also good for migrants such as Montagu's Harrier, Woodchat Shrike and Whinchat. In winter, the site welcomes many passerines Common Chaffinch, Brambling, Linnet, Yellowhammer, Cirl Bunting and Rock Bunting, but also Red-billed Chough.
