This 156 hectares park is located at the confluence of the Garonne and the Ariège rivers. Location is 10 km south of Toulouse.
The Garonne - Ariège Confluence Nature Reserve is rich in biodiversity. The nature reserve covers an area of 579 ha along the Garonne and Ariège rivers. The mix of woods, wetlands, cliffs and agricultural areas offers a diversity of landscapes and a mosaic of natural environments. This attracts a large number of animal and plant species.
The park described here is one of the parts of the reserve easily accessible to visitors and is the closest to Toulouse.
At least 143 bird species a few minutes from Toulouse. Among the birds that can be seen here are Black-crowned Night Heron, Purple Heron, Booted Eagle, Eurasian Hobby, Black Kite and Golden Oriole.

From Toulouse ring road take the D4 Road to Lacroix-Falgarde. Park entrance on the right hand side 7 km away.
Open every day from 6 to 21 h (April to September) or from 8 to 18h (October to March). Entrance free. The route that is displayed on the map is 4,3 km.
