Description
The Marais du Val de Vergne is a wetland complex on the French-Belgian border with old wet meadows, rivers, ponds and reed beds. More than 60 species of nesting birds breed in the area. The area is rich in ducks, herons and other water birds. Birds you can observe include Egyptian Goose, Northern Shoveler, Gadwall, Mallard, Common Pochard, Tufted Duck, Little Grebe, Great Crested Grebe, Eurasian Moorhen, Eurasian Coot, Great Cormorant and Common Kingfisher.
