Description
Étang Turlet is located at the southern exit of the town of Villars-les-Dombes. The lake has mainly open shallow water with some scarce reedbeds and wet woodlands. On the northern bank of the lake is a bird hide. Among the bird you can observe are Gadwall, Eurasian Wigeon, Northern Pintail, Red-crested Pochard, Tufted Duck, Common Pochard, Common Teal, Garganey, Mute Swan, Purple Heron, White Stork, Western Marsh Harrier, Whiskered Tern, Great Crested Grebe, Little Grebe and Black-necked Grebe.

Access
Étang Turlet is located south of the town of Villars-les-Dombes. You can park along the road close to the lake. Click on the P in the map for directions. From parking spot it is just a 100 m walk to the bird hide.
