Ruusuniemi is a nice place for observing waterfowl as they swim around the area or fly by. Mallard , Common Goldeneye , Tufted Duck , Mute Swan , Canada Goose , Whooper Swan , Goosander and Red-breasted Merganser are a common sight from this spot. Birders have also sighted Smew among other duck species and Great Egret flying by. There's also a bird feeding spot in a walking distance during winter times.
