Description
Kaidanpään Lintutorni is a bird observation tower that offers a great vantage point for observing various bird species. You can see waterfowl, herons, and have a good chance to hear Great Bittern and Water Rail. White-tailed Eagle can be seen hunting all year round. Other birds you can observe in the area include Whooper Swan, Northern Shoveler, Eurasian Wigeon, Common Teal, Tufted Duck, Smew, Goosander, Great Crested Grebe, Common Crane, Ruff, Common Snipe, Wood Sandpiper, Common Redshank, Caspian Tern, Common Tern, Osprey, Western Marsh Harrier, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Eurasian Hobby, Coal Tit, Crested Tit, Bearded Tit, Sedge Warbler, Reed Warbler, Tree Pipit and Yellowhammer.

Kaidanpään Lintutorni is located in Masku, which is about 25 kilometers northwest of the city of Turku. You can reach the area by local bus but then you still have to walk some kilometers. So best to go there is with car or by bicycle. There is small parking place where the path to birding tower starts. Press P on the map for directions to the parking. From the parking you have to walk about 1 km to the observation tower.
