Coastal fresh-water lakes with varying water levels, surrounded by agriculture and grasslands. Good for waders and ducks.
In this area, fresh-water lakes are scarce and Kammerslusen Clay Excavations constitute one of the larger lakes for miles. Active grazing and seasonal varying water levels prevents the area from overgrowing and creates nice, exposed mud flats in the spring, summer and autumn. The area is especially good for waders, ducks and gulls, but it is also one of the best places for Short-eared Owl in winter and spring.
Access to the area is easy, using the paved road to the south and west.
