The Retencija Blato ticklist is 216 species (see link below). There is an island/peninsula which is a popular bird roost Species seen include Common Rosefinch, European Serin, Wood Lark, Eurasian Tree Sparrow, Greater Scaup, Avocet, Eurasian Wryneck, European Bee-eater, Purple Heron, Ferruginous Duck, Pallid Harrier and Western Marsh Harrier. Note: As of 2022 the website says 'temporarily closed'. Unclear if this applies only to fishing, or all visitors.
