The town of Baška is located on the island of KRK. It is a very beautiful area. The coastal strip has beaches, hiking trails, rocks, and vegetated areas. Various gulls can be seen in this strip, such as Yellow-legged Gull. You can often see Griffon Vulture. Other birds of prey can also be found here, such as Short-toed Snake Eagle. If you walk from the beach onto the rocky paths, with a bit of luck you can find Common Rock Thrush. Abundant in the area is European Shag and actually impossible to miss.
