The short grassy open areas and shallow pools form an attraction pole for grassland birds such as Northern Lapwing ; coastal bird species such as Eurasian Oystercatcher and water birds such as Mallard. In addition, seagulls like to come to the puddles. Sea buckthorn and willow trees are also popular. Here breed among others Linnet, European Stonechat, Greater Whitethroat, Willow Warbler, Marsh Warbler. The thorny bushes are ideal resting places for many songbirds during the spring and autumn migration.
