The wet grasslands, which slowly dry, are optimal foraging areas for moving waders. Some breeding birds of the agricultural areas can be found.
In the this wet area you can see Eurasian Curlew and Green Sandpiper. The bare soil that arises in places where the water retreats, is ideal for making a nest for Northern Lapwing. In recent years, shrubs have been planted. These provide breeding grounds for European Stonechat and Yellowhammer.
