Hoofsweer - Kooldries is a varied area with wet and dry forests, heathland, larger and smaller clay pits. There is a bird watching blind at the largest pond with a chance of Eurasian Wigeon, Eurasian Coot, Gadwall and Tufted Duck in winter. There is a chance of Common Kingfisher, Mallard, Mute Swan around the ponds and various species of woodpeckers in the forest all year round.

Hoofsweer - Kooldries is located northeast of Antwerp near the towns of Brecht and Sint-Lenaars. Parking is available along the Dessel Schoten canal (Boudewijnstraat-Vaartweg), near the Cuveee Hoeve. Press P on the map for directions to the parking lot. The circular walk shown on the map is approximately 5 km.
