Description

The Hasseltbos is a forest with undergrowth and with older trees such as beech. This makes the forest attractive to typical forest birds such as Eurasian Nuthatch, Short-toed Treecreeper, Great Spotted Woodpecker and even Middle Spotted Woodpecker can be admired there. There is a small piece of coniferous wood where you can hear and see Goldcrest and Firecrest. The bushes are attractive to Blackcap, Common Chaffinch and Common Nightingale (not annually). And including of course Common Buzzard.
