The Boneffe pond and the reed beds bordering the pond attract a remarkable variety of birds.
Étang de Boneffe hosts many birds in its reedbeds such as Water Rail and Reed Warbler. Many other birds are attracted to this wetland like Common Kingfisher, Common Teal, Common Pochard and Tufted Duck as well as from time to time lesser common species such as Garganey or Common Goldeneye (winter 2021-2022).

Le site accueil de nombreux oiseaux dans ses roselières comme le râle d'eau ou encore la rousserolle effarvatte deplus de nombreux oieaux profite de sont milieux aquatique comme la sarcelle d'hiver ,la fuligule milouin et morillion ainsi que de temps a autre quelque espèce moin comune tel que la sarcelle d'été ou le garrot a oeil d'or (hiver 2021-2022)
You can get there by bike or by car (Étang de Boneffe, Rue du Vivier du Renard, 5310 Eghezée). A tour of the pond is only possible on foot.
