Description
During the spring and autumn migration periods, many wetland birds pass through Yerevan Lake, including various ducks such as Northern Shoveler, Ferruginous Duck, and others, as well as waders like Little Ringed Plover and Black-winged Stilt. Additionally, the migration routes of some birds of prey, such as Black Kite and European Honey-buzzard, pass through the lake. In summer Great Crested Grebe, Eurasian Coot, Great Reed Warbler, Savi's Warbler and others nest here. In winter, the lake becomes a refuge for Common Teal and Black-headed Gull.
