A picturesque gorge near Meghri city, where you can see a large number of mountain bird species.

Access

You can reach the gorge from the Meghri city. You can drive your own car or hire a driver in Meghri.

You can get to Meghri from Yerevan by bus. Book a ticket in advance by calling 094003462. You can also rent a car, but the road goes along very dangerous switchbacks, so be careful.

The drive to Meghri from Yerevan takes at least 8 hours, and along the way you can visit other birdwatching spots, such as Tatev Monastery. If you're traveling to Meghri and want to enjoy birdwatching, you'll need to book accommodation in the city for at least 2 nights.

Meghri is located in the border zone, so if you're a foreigner, please have your passport and other permits with you.
