Description
Gandzavank Pond is a small pond near the M10 highway. The pond was formerly a part of Lake Sevan and is surrounded by dry pastures. In winter it's frozen and abandoned, but in late spring and summer you can always find here Eurasian Moorhen, Little Grebe, Western Yellow Wagtail , Great Reed Warbler and sometimes Glossy Ibis and Cattle Egret. In the surrounding pastures and lakeshore forest Common Cuckoo, Eurasian Hoopoe and Common Wood Pigeon could be encountered.
