A lovely little nature reserve with Visitor Centre, bird hide, shop, toilets and cafe.
Wolseley Centre is a visitor centre set in 26 acres of beautiful grounds that you can explore. It is also the Headquarters for Staffordshire Wildlife Trust. The area has several pools and a riverside walk. The resident Common Kingfisher are a joy to watch.
The Wolseley Centre is easy to find on the A51 near Rugeley. Look for the brown tourist signs. Click on the P in the map to get directions. There is a large car park with overflow when busy. Public transport: Bus route 825 between Stafford and Rugeley, runs twice an hour. A network of accessible footpaths weave around the grounds. From the visitor centre you can walk along the boardwalk and enjoy views over pools, across the River Trent and beyond.
