Siblyback Lake is a reservoir situated in the South East of Bodmin Moor. Very close to it's bigger cousin Colliford Lake.
Built in the late 60's Siblyback Lake is slightly different to Colliford Lake as it has a watersport center. The lake is better known for it's waders (as well as waterbirds), the northern end is the shallower and after periods of low rainfall during late summer can have margins of mud, making it attractive to migrant waders. The lake is used by anglers and watersports enthusiasts and can get very busy, so duck numbers can be smaller due to disturbance. There is a path around the whole lake, which can get extremely wet and muddy at times.
The largest town to the South East is Liskeard on the A38, from the centre of Liskeard head north on the A390, on leaving Liskeard take the B3254 and follow signs to Siblyback Lake via St Cleer, on minor roads follow signs to the Lake. The path around the whole lake is 5 km long.
