Local suburban nature reserve adjoining River Avon, built as part of town flood defence scheme.
Pershore Community Wetland is a recently constructed reserve. Lakes, reedbeds and raised walkways. Dragonflies. Moth count 371 species. 133 bird species seen thus far. Includes Little Egret, Water Rail, Cetti's Warbler, Sedge Warbler, Reed Warbler, Garden Warbler, Willow Warbler, Grey Heron, Great Cormorant, Sparrowhawk, Red Kite and Tawny Owl.
Park in Pershore town centre, Leisure centre, or Riverside car park (closes 8pm). Click on a P in the map to get directions to a parking.
Tragically, reedbeds were set on fire April 2022.
