Description

Mockett's Wood is the only local untouched woodland nearby so worth a visit if you're in St. Peter's village. Quiet and linking to farmers' fields and nearby cemetery. Noisiest residents are Rose-ringed Parakeet which can be seen all year round, but easiest to spot in the bare brances of Autumn/Winter. Usual woodland species present, notably Great Spotted Woodpecker and Eurasian Nuthatch.
