Description

The Great Glen Way is a long distance path that partly runs along the world famous Loch Ness. The walk is not only beautiful, along the way you can also observe forest birds in the woods and water birds on the lake. Birds you may encounter are punatulkku, merimetso, isokoskelo, kyhmyjoutsen, käpytikka, talitiainen and virtavästäräkki.

Easy to reach from Fort Augustus. Can be explored both on foot and by bicycle. The circular route indicated on the map is 19 km.
