Linford Bottom is located to the east of Ringwood, on the western edge of the New Forest.
Linford Bottom is part of the New Forest. Easy accessible area with forest, brook, and open fields. Among the birds you can encounter are Coal Tit, Common Crossbill, Eurasian Bullfinch, Sparrowhawk, Grey Wagtail, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Long-tailed Tit, Blackcap, Garden Warbler and Goldcrest.
From the Linford Bottom parking you can explore the area. On the map you see a short 2 km circular walk. But it is easy to extend the walk. Note: this is also a popular spot for dog walkers and picnickers and can become quite overcrowded in season and on weekends.
