Short circular walk through a small wooded valley with a stream running though it, emerging into pasture. Nearby houses that put out bird feeders.
Cwmfelinfach holds varied types of birds throughout the year, but summer is more plentiful. Tarmac path goes into a gravel path then dirt path until you meet a lane with orchards and fields surrounding it. The small forested valley has a stream which attracts plenty of wildlife. Ideal to explore for a couple of hours. Free car park nearby overlooking the Sirhowy Valley.
For Cwmfelinfach turn off B4251 onto Twyn Gwyn Road which is in the middle of a small village Cwmfelinfach. Click on the P in the map for directions. Walk out of the car park, turn right walk for a few meters and take the right hand fork. Walk 100 meters until you see an opening on the right into a wide path. Follow the path in a circular route.
The wide path narrows to a dirt path which can get muddy. Carry on until you meet a metal gate with a path leading up the small valley to the left. Follow this path until you meet a small land, walk back down until you get to the car park. Ideal way to spend a few pleasant hours watching the varied wildlife.
