The Axe Estuary is in East Devon with Seaton (not to be confused with the seaside place in South East Cornwall) at it's mouth, in South East Devon.
This important upper part of the Axe Estuary has mudflats, saltmarsh and larger areas of brackish water that can flood at high spring tides. It has a number of hides.
Seaton is a seaside town in South East Devon, to the North of here is Colyford on the A3052, from here head South along Colyford Road, just after leaving Colyford there is a small pull in on the left with limited parking, for further parking head South on same road until you reach Seaton Town Cemetery on the left, that has a larger car park that gains you access to the marshes. Failing that use Harbour Road Car Park in Seaton and walk North past Seaton Marshes on footpaths and roads.
