Description

Nallıhan Bird Paradise has an area of ​​425 hectares. The distinctive layer formation of extraordinary beauty is accompanied by reeds, steppe areas, agricultural lands, tamarisks and willows. It is a semi artificial area because of Sarıyar Dam. It is beautiful because of the bare hilly landscape. You can see abundant bird colonies here in spring. It is calm in autumn and winter because the water level drop out of spring. The entire Nallıhan bird sanctuary and Sarıyar Dam constitute an important shelter for the life of thousands of water birds. In some years, it is seen that the number of water birds overwintering in the dam exceeds 50,000 thousand.

Nallıhan Bird Paradise is easy to reach by car. Also, you can go there by public transport. You do not need to move a lot around the area. There is short walking route with platforms. These are enough to see birds.
