This is a nice place to explore during spring migration. There are many species in spring migration. It is easy to explore. Bird species richnes is high.
You can drive around Lake Ladik easily. It is a nice place to do birding because there are forests, gardens, meadows, a lake, mud flats, reed beds, etc. During spring migration, you can see thousands of Barn Swallow and Sand Martin on the lake site. Great White Pelican can be seen there, too. Ferruginous Duck is another species highlighted here. Eurasian Green Woodpecker and Cattle Egret can be seen around the lake. White-tailed Eagle and Great Cormorant, which also can be observed, are typical birds in such wetlands in Turkey.
You can go explore the Lake Ladik area by car. It is close to the main roads. There is one main road passing through from southern part of the lake. It is possibe to drive around the lake site by village roads. Zoom in on the map and click on a P in the map for directions or coordinates.
