Description

The area of the Salmsacher Aachmündung has different biotopes. Forest, stream and lake give the opportunity to observe different bird species. Hættemåge, Fiskehejre, Gråand, Blishøne, Rørhøne, Skarv, Knopsvane, Isfugl and Toppet Lappedykker are practically certain to be spotted during a visit.

Depending on the season and luck, you can also discover Halemejse, Råge, Fjordterne, Sølvhejre, Rødhovedet And, Knarand, Troldand, Hvid Stork, Stor Flagspætte, etc. In winter, flocks of thousands of individuals can be observed.
