One of the best places in Switzerland to observe birds. Strategically positioned at the south western end of Lake Neuchâtel and with good settings for stopover.
Every visit at the site of Embouchure de la Thièle à Yverdon generates some surprises. You can always expect to see interesting waders, larids or ducks among others. Definitely not to be missed. As the site is easily reachable and not that big, even a short visit worth a try.
The area is quite small, so visiting by foot is the best option. The site is easily accessible by train arriving at Yverdon-les-Bains station and then walking a bit more than 1 km to reach the Thièle river mouth. Parking is available at the site.
