Svanviken is an extension of Kilaån river with wet forest and large reed beds. Ryssbergen forest borders the area to the south.
At the foot of the ski hill there is a small parking lot with a disabled toilet. From there an adapted path leads out through the marsh forest and the reeds to a platform at the edge of Svanviken at the Kilaån river. A lot of small birds thrive in the wet forest and Bluethroat rest in the reeds during autumn. From the platform there is a view over the reeds and at high tide out over the bay. Summertime this is a good place for night singers. With the proximity to the Ryssbergen forest area, owls also can also be heard and seen in the area.
Parking facilities for car and bicycle below Ryssbergen's slalom slope. Click on the P in the map for directions. From the parking a functionally adapted walkway (300m) leads to the viewing platform.
