A large wetland area with both possibility to hike approximately five kilometers, and two bird towers.

Description

Normally Söne Mad is one large and clear water area, suitable for resting ducks, geese and other wetland birds. A good place to see White-tailed Eagle, Peregrine Falcon and Western Marsh Harrier. Nesting birds are Common Snipe, Water Rail, Great Bittern and Eurasian Wryneck in the summertime. Often you can also encounter Lesser Spotted Woodpecker and Bearded Tit.

Access

By car or bike to either the bird tower at Nyckelbergstornet (Park on the left in the field before the forest slope before the harbor. It is then approx. 300 m left to walk on the forest road. Do not park in the harbor), or Söne idrottsplats (football fields). Suitable for hiking, not biking. Click on the P in the map to get directions.
