Birdwatching tower where the Common Crane dance can be seen in spring. Note that it can get very busy at the Pulken observation tower.
Pulken is a nature reserve by the Helge River, just west of Yngsjö. The Common Crane gather here in the evening for overnight stays in March-April. It is easy to see them dancing into spring when they rest after the flight over the Baltic Sea. There is a large bird observation tower that is also an outdoor museum. Other birds you can observe include Barnacle Goose, Canada Goose, Northern Lapwing, Common Shelduck and Common Redshank.
Pulken is located just west of Yngsjö in eastern Skåne. Parking is free and open from 6 am to 8 pm. A short walk takes you from the parking lot to the observation tower. The bird tower is wheelchair accessible and has a toilet. Press P on the map for directions to the parking.
