Husie mosse is a small lake with surrounding reeds and moist forrests, that attracts some special birds.

Description

Husie mosse is located just outside the city of Malmö. On one side urban on the other agriculture, from its own parameters it's a nice area which is easy reached. The lake in the middle attracts ducks, Water Rail , Grey Heron and occasionally Great Egret , in the winter Great Bittern.

In the surrounding forrest Lesser Spotted Woodpecker and almost every year Penduline Tit breeds. Otherwise its a nice oasis with most of the general singing birds.

In autumn and winter the site attracts most species of thrushes and Common Crossbill and if its a migration year Two-barred Crossbill.

If going by bus take number 35 to Malmö Toftängen and walk from there. If going by car drive to E Stenkällan, park and walk from there.
