In the middle of the Nåsten forest you can find this place.
Most interesting birds in the Hågadalen-Nåsten nature reserve can be found here. On an early spring evening you can hear Eurasian Pygmy Owl while Eurasian Woodcock flies overhead. In spring and summer many birds can be heard. This old clear cut forest is starting to grow over again and lures a lot of birds. The only down side is that it is a 2-3 km walk from the nearest parking lot. Many woodpeckers reside here as well, like Black Woodpecker, Eurasian Green Woodpecker, Lesser Spotted Woodpecker and some winters one can be lucky enough to encounter a Grey-headed Woodpecker.
The nearest parking lots can be found at Kung Björns Hög and Hågaby. From there it is a 2-3 km walk along a broad forest road. At Högbyhatt there are in principal two roads one can take. The one going along the small pond can be wet at certain times of the year.
