Description
The 3,000-hectare Dumme Mosse Naturreservat has a great variety of wetland types. The large open bog areas in Dumme Mosse consist of a mosaic of moist, cotton grass-covered hollows and drier, almost heath-like areas. The large untouched area means that some species sensitive to disturbance can thrive. At the northern end there is a bird observation tower and in the southern part there are nice hiking trails that also extend out onto the bog. Among the birds you can encounter in the area are Серый журавль, Тетерев, Краснозобая гагара, Чернозобая гагара, Бородатая неясыть, Большой кроншнеп, Беркут and Луговой чекан.
