Freshwater wetland that occupies a depression above the Arroyo del Prado. A mix of common and less common wetland birds can be observed.
La Laguna del Prado is a wetland with an interesting representation of lagoon avifauna. Birds you can encounter very frequent in the wetland are Eurasian Coot, Mallard, Eurasian Moorhen, Purple Heron, White Stork and egrets. As well as other less frequent ones such as Purple Swamphen or Western Marsh Harrier. Also birds such as Collared Pratincole, Bluethroat, Eurasian Spoonbill and Glossy Ibis can sometimes be observed in the area.

El humedal presenta una interesante representación de avifauna lagunar siendo muy frecuente la presencia de especies tan representativas como la focha común, anade real, polla de agua, garza imperial, cigüeñas y garcetas, además de otras menos frecuentes como el calamón ó el aguilucho lagunero.
La Laguna del Prado is located close to the village of La Redondela. Park in the village and you can walk or cycle to the area on the Via Verde (see the map). Click on the P in the map for directions.
