Description

La Rotonda is a small viewpoint with a view of de Rio Tietar and the rocky slopes. A visit is easy to combine with other not to miss viewpoints on this road like La Tajadilla, La Bascula and Portillo del Tietar (all described on Birdingplaces, see separate entries). Among the birds you can observe from La Rotonda are Black-eared Wheatear, Iberian Magpie, Griffon Vulture, Eurasian Black Vulture, Egyptian Vulture, Corn Bunting, Common Chaffinch, Woodchat Shrike and Red-legged Partridge. The banks of the river are frequently visited by Red deer.

Easy to reach from both Plasencia and Torrejon el Rubio. Click on the P in the map for directions. Parking for about 6 vehicles.
