Description
Embalse de la Tabla is a small reservoir in a quiet rural area southwest of the city of León. The surroundings are open countryside with farmland, and gentle hills typical of the León region. Birds you can observe depending on the time of year and the water level in the reservoir include Eurasian Hoopoe, European Bee-eater, Crested Lark, Common Nightingale, Cirl Bunting, White Stork, Grey Heron, Little Egret, Great Egret, Great Spotted Cuckoo, Western Marsh Harrier, Osprey, Short-toed Snake Eagle, Black-headed Gull, Ruddy Shelduck, Little Grebe, Black-winged Stilt, Common Ringed Plover, and Common Snipe.

Embalse de la Tabla is located 50 km southwest of the city of León, near the village of Jiménez de Jamuz. Press P on the map for directions to a parking spot. The bird hide is closed because European Bee-eater nest there.
