Public park that was an old almond plantation. The old almond trees have many holes. Nocturnal birds of prey nest and take refuge there.
The Almendral park is surrounded by urbanizations. Even so, the nearby pine forests serve as a refuge for nocturnal birds of prey like Little Owl and Long-eared Owl that use it to hunt. Also common are Eurasian Green Woodpecker and various insectivores such as Spotted Flycatcher and Black Redstart.

The area is especially interesting on spring nights. You can see almost all species of nocturnal birds of prey. The Little Owl, Tawny Owl, Long-eared Owl and the Eagle Owl stand out. The Barn Owl is very rare, as well as the Eurasian Scops Owl, which, if they appear, are expelled by the Little Owl. Although they are not birds, the carato dormouse and the ocellated lizard are usually present. It is a place with great diversity and abundance of orchids. It also houses Roman and 18th and 19th century archaeological remains. A very diverse place.
