Description

Complejo Lagunar de Ballesteros are small lagoons caused by the collapse of karst sinkholes. There are more than 20 lagoons, some up to 15 meters deep. Located between mostly dry cereal fields, they allow you to combine sightings of small passerines, waders, raptors and waterfowl. Exploring the area on foot takes approximately two hours, and can be enjoyed at any time of the year. But be sure to bring enough water in summer.

You cannot miss the migration of Black Kite, and don't be fooled by the pink color that some lagoons acquire at certain times of the year, it is a natural process under continuous scientific study.
