Bassa de Sanavastre consists of a wetland in the old mine where waterfowl such as the Purple Heron can be observed, and it is an excellent nesting area for the European Bee-eater. Typical dryland farming birds can also be observed in the adjacent fields. This area is also rich in birds of prey.

Access
Bassa de Sanavastre is located directly west of the village of Sanavastre. You can walk from the village. In Sanavastre, there is parking by the river. Press P on the map for directions. The circular route on the map is about 4 km in length. It's a great area for a bike ride through the Pla d'Alp.
