The fishponds between the villages Chișineu-Criș and Socodor are surrounded by salted pastures with a floodplain forest nearby. It is a suitable breeding habitat for several rare waterbird species and an important autumn and spring migration stopover site. Among the birds you can see here are: orel mořský, bukač velký, kalous pustovka, kvakoš noční, mandelík hajní, poštolka rudonohá, polák malý and volavka stříbřitá.
The area is easily accessible from main road 79A.
