Description

The mouth of the Vale Vaqueiro stream is one of the richest areas in avifauna in the central Portugal area. 180 bird species have been recorded here. Among the birds you can encounter are Common Quail, Red-legged Partridge, Golden Oriole, European Bee-eater, Little Owl, Iberian Grey Shrike, Iberian Chiffchaff, Black Stork, White Stork, White-rumped Swift, Osprey, European Turtle Dove and Common Waxbill.
