Description

The low bridge of Ponte de São Domingos crosses the small river Séqua. At this place the river is overgrown with reeds and looks like a small marsh. The banks of the river are covered with trees, shrubs and orchards. There is little traffic on the bridge and it is a pleasant place for bird watching. Among the birds you can encounter are Golden Oriole, Common Quail, Red-legged Partridge, Common Kingfisher, European Bee-eater, Zitting Cisticola, Eurasian Green Woodpecker, Iberian Magpie, Cetti's Warbler, Common Nightingale, Common Waxbill, Eurasian Hoopoe, White Stork and Sardinian Warbler.
