Description

Catalão is a rural agricultural area with scattered bushes and open fields. It is a very interesting area to visit when looking for migrating and resident birds. Among the birds you can encounter are Black-winged Kite, Booted Eagle, Short-toed Snake Eagle, Griffon Vulture, Iberian Magpie, Wood Lark, Dartford Warbler and Sardinian Warbler.

Access

Catalão is located 7 km northwest of the town of Lagos. Follow the road between N125 and Barão de São João/Bensafrim and exit at the Catalão sign. Press P on the map for directions.
