Tarnobrzeg Lake is a deep and large post-mining reservoir in the immediate vicinity of the Vistula River.
Lake Tarnobrzeg is particularly interesting for bird watchers in autumn and winter when you can observe large gatherings of wintering and migrating water birds. This is a reservoir that often does not freeze in winter, which favors the observation of species such as Great Northern Diver, Common Scoter, Slavonian Grebe and large flocks of ducks and coots. Bearded Tit can be found in the reed beds on the shores.
Lake Tarnobrzeg is surrounded by roads, parking lots and places where you can eat and swim. You can travel by car, bicycle or on foot. Click on a P in the map for directions to a parking spot.
